Ever notice that when someone does something that is obviously wrong, bad, unjust, they always have what they think is a perfectly valid reason for doing it? No matter how heinous the action is, they can always find a way to justify it.
I think a lot of people can maybe see that action in others but not in themselves. But in reality next time you are telling yourself how totally justified you were in doing something, take a moment to realize, you don’t have to justify doing the right thing.
So when you are trying to explain to others or to yourself that what you did was “right” realize that it probably wasn’t right after all or you would not need to come up with dozens of reasons for why you did it.
